The Future Ain't What it Used to Be
Thank you, Kimberly. Good morning everyone. I also want to thank Bob DeFillippo for inviting me here this morning. It's great to see so many friends here.
Congratulations on the 25th anniversary of the Arthur Page Society, and for a quarter of a century of contributions that have improved the understanding and practice of public relations and communications.
We're also celebrating an anniversary at AARP. This is our 50th. We're finally old enough to join ourselves.
Anniversaries are a great time for reflection. Winston Churchill said, "The farther back you look, the further ahead you can see." Churchill also said something that should make us optimistic about the future. He said, "Americans can always be counted on to do the right thing. After they've tried everything else."
