George Washington Uses Ethical Prinicples To Lead His Troops

Good morning, members of the Reveille Club. Thank you for inviting me. It's a pleasure to be with you. I congratulate you all on keeping alive the traditions of your great alma mater, Texas A and M. The title of my talk today is " Building a Winning Team, Ethically " by using George Washington's ethical leadership principles. Before I assume the role of George, however, let me be Jim for a few moments. Today, America is in grave danger from both an external enemy, the terrorists, and from internal enemies, unethical leaders. Their lying, stealing and cheating threatens to destroy our cherished traditions. Adam Smith, who wrote the "Wealth of Nations" in 1776, a book owned and read by George Washington, stated that political freedom (democracy) and economic freedom (capitalism) would not survive in a country unless the people act ethically toward each other.
