Would-be speechwriters create own farm team

The Georgetown Speechwriting Advisory Group is a couple dozen undergrads who hope to “obtain speechwriting requests and collaborate with clients to produce memorable communication products.”

They’ll write for free.

“We just want people to know ho we are, what we do, what we can offer,” says GSWAG co-founder Max Harris, who told the student newspaper The Hoya that he started the group after he tried and failed to find a speechwriting internship in D.C. this fall.

The group is looking for assignments from “small non-profits, lobbying firms, county-level politicians and city-level politicians.”

Maybe give these go-getters an assignment?
